Senior Orchestra (Grade 4+) 9.00am – 10.15am
The Senior Orchestra is open to all ages and welcomes players of approximately Grade 4 and above.
We explore a wide range of orchestral repertoire, from classical to film scores, and focus on developing musicality, technique, and ensemble playing in a supportive and ambitious environment.


Junior Orchestra (Grades 1-4) 11.00am – midday
Our Junior Orchestra is a welcoming group for young musicians working between Grades 1 and 4. It’s the perfect place to build confidence, improve ensemble skills, and experience the joy of playing music together.
No audition required — just bring your instrument and enthusiasm!
Recorders 10.00am – 10.30am
The Beginners Recorder group at COSMiC, led by Ann, is open to all ages and is the perfect place to start your musical journey. Whether you’re completely new to the instrument or returning after a break, Ann’s friendly and supportive guidance will help you build your skills at your own pace.
This group focuses on the fundamentals of recorder playing, from simple melodies to understanding rhythm and music notation, all in a relaxed, encouraging environment.


Beginners Percussion 10.30am – 11.00am
The Beginners Percussion group at COSMiC is designed for children looking to explore rhythm and percussion instruments. This group offers a fun, interactive environment where young musicians can learn the basics of percussion, from simple beats to understanding rhythm patterns, all while developing coordination and musicality.
It’s a great introduction to ensemble playing, helping children develop confidence and a love for music.
COSAfolk 10.15am – 11.00am
COSAfolk is our friendly folk music group, led by Martin, and open to musicians of all ages. This group brings together a mix of instruments to create a lively and enjoyable folk music experience. Whether you’re a seasoned player or relatively new to folk music, Martin will guide you through a variety of traditional and contemporary folk songs.

Acoustic Guitar 9.15am – 9.45am
Our Acoustic Guitar group, led by Jake, is perfect for beginners and improvers who have some basic knowledge of chords. This entry-level group is open to all ages and provides a supportive environment where you can build on your existing skills and develop your playing.
Jake will guide you through the essentials of acoustic guitar, focusing on chord progressions, strumming techniques, and simple songs. It’s a great opportunity to expand your guitar skills while enjoying music in a relaxed, social group setting.
Rock 1 9.45am – 10.30am
Rock 2 10.30am – 11.15am
Our rock groups for kids are led by tutor Jake. They are the perfect place for young musicians looking to rock out and improve their skills. We offer two levels: Rock 1, which is slightly easier, and Rock 2, for those ready to tackle more advanced tunes. To join, participants must have some basic playing ability—if you’re just starting, try our Acoustic Guitar group first!
If you can play a bit and are ready to rock, come and join Jake for an unforgettable musical experience!


Adult Rock 11.15am – 12.15pm
Our Adult Rock Group is a vibrant and inclusive band where musicians of all kinds—instrumentalists and singers alike—come together to play classic rock tunes. Whether you’re an experienced player or just returning to music, this group is all about enjoying the music, improving your skills, and having fun with fellow musicians.
Jake leads the group through a wide range of rock classics, helping both singers and instrumentalists develop their musical abilities while playing in a relaxed and supportive environment.
