Founded in 1973, COSMiC (Centre of Somerset Music Club) is a community-driven music club based in Street, Somerset, offering group music-making opportunities for people with varying levels of experience.
Whether you’re looking to build on your skills or starting out on an instrument, COSMiC has something for everyone.
What We Offer
We offer a range of ensembles led by experienced tutors, including two orchestras, a folk group, recorders and percussion groups, acoustic guitar, and rock bands.
For those just starting, our recorder, percussion, and acoustic guitar groups provide a great introduction to ensemble playing, while our other groups are aimed at those with a bit more experience.
A Musical Community
The focus at COSMiC is on playing music together, building skills, and enjoying the social aspect of making music in a group.
We hold three concerts a year, offering everyone the chance to perform and share their progress with friends, family, and the wider community.
